4-Year Colleges/Universities
If you are planning to apply straight to a 4-year college, applications are primarily due in the fall and there will be various other deadlines throughout the year.

Getting Ready for College Applications
UCs require you to complete a series of personal interest questions (PIQs) and Common App Schools require personal statements. In addition, there are a wide variety of scholarships that can help with the cost of your 4 years of education. Getting started early helps make the application process so much smoother.

Community College

There are so many different avenues to pursue in our local Community Colleges. Many students attend community college as a low cost way to complete their first two years before transfering to a 4-year college or university or complete 2 years of school and earn an associates degree.  With California Promise, community college tuition can be greatly reduced or free.  Students will need to complete either the FAFSA or CADAA applications in order to qualify for California Promise.

Community colleges also offer great certificate programs to learn a particular skill and be ready to enter the workforce immediately after completion. Check out the trade section below to find out more
